ORPHIC ENDEAVORS

I have decided that having the CD "Sinister Sight" available for two years is long enough. I am going to remove it from Cafe Press. I've only sold one CD in all the time I've been making music. Mainly, I think because I offer all tunes for free and there are fewer folks who can't just download them like there used to be (back in the dialup internet days), plus I offer the tunes for download here at a better bit rate (most of them anyway - all the recent ones) then I can get a CD made in at Cafe Press. I do want to make more t-shirts and things, but I haven't sold any of those either. I'm beginning to think that selling things just isn't going to happen though it would be really nice to be able to buy some new equipment or something....

Also, I stumbled on an old review I thought folks might enjoy. For some reason when I started making music I had this ridiculous confidence in myself (unfounded, I assure you) and I found out about this place doing reviews on artists who submitted music to them, so I picked out what I thought at the time were my best tunes and submitted them. I mean, I use all my own sounds now, and I actually compose the melodies where I didn't before. Back then I used canned loops. It would be a much harder blow now I think to get a bad review. I work really hard on this stuff. Besides, I make it more for me than for anything or anyone else. I'm tickled pink that folks out there like it. Plus, the nostalgia of reading that really old review kinda makes me laugh.

Meanwhile, I finished a few new music videos. Nothing too fancy, just me and my camera. I'll post them when I get done with the last one. I may actually have to compose or remix an existing tune to make it fit the visuals on the last one and if so, I'll just go ahead and post the finished ones. We'll see. I won't have time to work on that until much later today or tomorrow.
