ORPHIC ENDEAVORS

This one is different from what I've done before, because this time I used my husband's guitar. No, I don't know how to play a guitar. What I did was place the guitar on a table, plug it directly into the computer, pluck at it until it sounded right and record it in Cool Edit. I had a tune floating around in my head for almost a month and everytime I would sit at Cliff's computer to wait for Max's bus I would pluck at it on his guitar. (His window is the only way I can see the bus coming from the corner.) So I recorded it, but then there was the matter of what to do with it after that. I thought about it a long time and played with it on and off for over a month and finally I figured it out last night and finished putting it together this morning. I hope everyone likes it. I may remove "Lightyears" and "UmKala" from my CNet page just to put it up there, but I'm still debating that idea. I'm not sure I'm gonna bother with putting more music up at Amazon.com. My downloads have dropped off the planet there, even when I post a new tune it doesn't stay very high for very long and then it dissappears into the nether regions of Amazon. I may change my mind later though....

Anyway, the tune is called "War Stories", and yes, that is a helecopter. It was flying over our house one day about a two weeks ago and I recorded it on my trusty tape recorder. (Right now I'm taping sounds through the open window. You may hear a tune with noise from a trash truck in it someday because today is trash day and I can hear the trash truck going from house to house.)
