New Tune... Bombed Out Cathedral

Well, I've been working on this tune for over two weeks and finally I think I'm finished. I started and stopped over and over on this one. I've abandoned about three versions of it, but I think this is the final one. It was the repaving of our street that gave me the final sound I needed. How's that for finding music in strange places? See, I put my trusty tape recorder on the front porch and got two hours and fifteen minutes of cool sounds of trucks and machines and men shouting and horns and backup beeps and dogs barking, etc. I also took pictures. Hey, we don't get this kind of excitement on our street very often! Anyway, the sound that finally made it all add up was the sound of the dump truck.

They had several of them, and as each one ran empty another would be ready to go in it's place. The empty one would zoom down the street to go get more stuff and as the back lowered, the flap on the end would bang shut about four times before settling down.

That's the bangs you hear in this tune. I didn't have to do much to them. I just added a tiny bit of reverb and cleaned up the noise.
