This is the final look for a while. I'm not sure I like it yet, but I
did do some major improvements. I saved the jpgs I use for the
background and the banner at the top as lighter weight jpgs, so they
should load faster. I forget not everyone is on a super fast internet
connection like we are. I rearranged some of the navigation on the side
there. On most of my bpgisme.com pages the categories are unimportant,
but on the Orphic E. pages they are very important, so I rearranged them
to be more prominent along the column there. And, of course, the page
still validates at W3C. That's important to me, though I'm not sure
anyone really cares that much.
In other news, I just thought I
should mention this amazing thing... Orphic Endeavors' music is being
used on at least seven projects right this minute!
Let's see...
There's a video game in the works by "Sad Dreams Studios", a flash
project by a place called "Sativa" (which unfortunately, I noticed the
website has vanished so this one may be not happening, though the guy
did discuss the project in detail with me through email several times),
a guy named Jeff Chitty asked some time ago about using my music in a
trailer for a film, another guy, "sinowBeat" is using a few tunes for a
"mod" for Jedi Academy, Trace Anderson is making a cool movie using Sims
with Orphic Endeavors music (She's done some amazing stuff! Here's a
link to one of her projects: Annika.),
and of course, Darryl Wright is waiting patiently for me to make some
more appropriate music for his DVD projects (he's already used one tune
for one project), and now I just got an email from Nitin Chauhan who
will be using several tunes in his upcoming independent film. As soon as
all of these projects are completed I'll post links to them. (I hope I
didn't miss anything! I think that's all of them. I may have
missed one or two though... I should write this stuff down.)
There's
also some older projects I've already announced here, like the student
film, my husband's projects, and a few others, but these seven are the
latest.
Meanwhile, I put three new tunes up at CNET so hopefully
the numbers will begin to creep back up. I hope everyone likes them. I'm
not as happy with them as I'd like to be, but I think it's just the rush
of working again after not being able to for so long. I'm going too
fast. I need to slow down and let them simmer a little. Now that Max is
back at school during the day, I have time again. Whew.
So,
anyway, thanks for downloading and listening!
