I just finished a "quickie" tune. I was looking into buying a
semi-affordable upgrade of Anvil Studio when I discovered this thing
called Finale. There's a free
demo of the "Finale SongWriter" version. (It costs about $50 to buy at
the website - $45 at Amazon.com.) So I downloaded it and I just love it!
Within just a few minutes I had made a minute of a song! I was really
excited, but of course, because it's a demo I couldn't save what I did.
The first tune I made I recorded in Cool Edit, just so I would have it,
and then I went to read more about the program. It was then that I
discovered they also have a free version (Finale Notepad) so I
downloaded that one and tried it out. It's okay. I can save, but only in
the Finale format and the soundfont is the default one on my computer.
So I was kind of disappointed, but you know... It's free and all. So I
played with it and built another tune. Just to see if I could, I opened
the demo version of Finale SongWriter and I discovered I could open the
song I made in the not so good sounds of the free version and get a good
recording of it by playing it through Finale SongWriter's demo version's
great sounds! So, after that long story, here it is: Sunday
Night. It's short because I didn't want to get too excited about
something I may not be able to buy anytime soon. If you guys would buy a
few t-shirts or buy hosting from Hostony through my affiliate/shopping
links on the main page.......
er.... Then, I could.... um.... afford it.
Anyway, I hope you
like the tune. There's no bells and whistles. No sound effects. No drone
in the background. Just straight music this time. (With a little slight
reverb...) And it's a bit repetitive too, but that's because I didn't
want to spend a whole lot of time on something I may never get to buy.
Again,
here's Sunday
Night.
Thanks for downloading and listening!
-Bonnie
PS-
My husband just completed a new Higher Math tune. It's the first Higher
Math tune in maybe two years or more. Read the entry and download the
tune here: Phoenix Never Falls.
