The four new tunes are finally live on Music.download.com. There were
all sorts of interferences (CNET error page (server trouble?), etc.) but
they're finally up. Now comes the long wait to see how they do there.
Music.download.com
has been very good to me. I not only get lots of downloads there I also
get the most worldwide exposure my music has ever had. It's been five
years this month since I began this musical adventure. My first tune
ever was "The End of Atlantis". In the beginning I just wanted to copy
Enigma and the Myst soundtracks and Delerium and even a few of Deep
Forest's tunes, but over time, I think... or at least I hope, I've
developed my own sound. I don't try to emulate or copy other
artists anymore and that makes me feel better as a musician. It took a
long time to get here and lots of tests and exploration. And there's
still much more I want to be able to do. Eventually, hopefully, with the
right equipment, I will. It just takes me a long time to get any money
for that stuff. Meanwhile, that Music.download.com "Editor's Pick" which
I long for still has yet to happen. I've proven I can get lots of
downloads, and I'm a featured artist there and that's nice, but the
ultimate goal there is that elusive and mysterious "Editor's Pick". I
keep hoping that this time it'll happen, but so far it never
does. *sigh* Oh well... Maybe next time. I'll keep striving for
perfection...
Thanks for downloading and listening!
