Still thinking...

Well, the site redesign is done, I hope it looks more professional.

I took a little time off and worked on finishing two tunes I had started a while back so now I'm up to five completed new tunes since the big announcement. No, I don't have the other three for sale here at the site yet though they are for sale at Soundclick if you don't want to wait. I have talked it over with my husband and decided to join CDBaby. Through CDBaby my tunes will be distributed on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster and dozens other reputable companies. I am a customer of Rhapsody myself, so it will be really amazing to see Orphic Endeavors' tunes come up in my searches there. Unfortunately, setting up CDBaby will cost $35 upfront, plus $20 for a bar code, so it's going to take me a little time to get the money. They accept CDRs thankfully, so I will have Cliff make me five really pretty ones to send. I am going to finally remove my old cd I had for sale at CafePress, "Sinister Sight: Left Handed Vision" which I had said long ago I was going to discontinue but never got around to it. (I wanted to buy a copy of it for myself first. I have one of each of all the old ones from the MP3.com days. There were three released there plus two compilation cds.) Anyway, after I discontinue "Sinister Sight: Left Handed Vision" and remove it, I'm making a new CD. I'm not sure if it will be "icon" or "Only One Way", as I have two distinct styles of music and they really don't fit together. I was originally going to make "icon" my more composed and structured pieces like "Mitsumushi" and "Uma-Jirushi", and "Only One Way" was going to be my synthy ambient soundscape stuff. I just can't decide. Maybe I'll do both.

It's funny, the one minute sample of "Forgotten" keeps getting play after play at Soundclick. No one has bought it yet though. That one is a hybrid. I used both my soundscape synths and my composed orchestra. (And my voice heavily altered... Even my husband couldn't tell it was me!)

Anyway, I'm about to start the process at CDBaby in the next week or so. I can't start the process at ASCAP until after that, so I've got a lot of work ahead of me. I'm also about to purchase a midi keyboard so I can play better with these softsynths. Lots of changes and growth coming. Please, bear with me! :)
