ICON is on it's way as of yesterday. Yesterday I packaged it up with my enclosed checks and asked my husband to mail it off to CDBaby for me, so, the deed is done. In just a couple of weeks CDBaby will have it all set up and in a matter of a couple of months the tunes from ICON will be seen on Rhapsody and iTunes and all the other places like that. And I might actually start to earn a little cash for all this work. Maybe.... I'm told there is still the issue of promotion. I will have to work hard at that, but I'm not going to until this album (Abandoned Hospital) is completed. I'm not doing any work on anything until "Abandoned Hospital" is completed, frankly.
"Abandoned Hospital" is going to be the most complete package, the most coherent and solid work I've ever done. Hey, my husband is having to listen to it while I work and has told me HE wants a copy of it when it's done. Now that's a compliment! It's dark ambient, so it's back to my roots, and it may put some of my more recently acquired fans off a bit, but it's the kind of music I've always wanted to do, the kind I started with and the kind I love to listen to, so hey, give me this one. I'm taking my time on it too. Nine songs are now completed. I may, possibly, go back and fix one or two of the ones I'm not completely happy with, but, for the most part I am very happy with how it's coming together. There were going to be fifteen songs, but I think I forgot the morgue, so I'll have to add one more for a total of sixteen completed tunes. I hope I can fit them all on there. It's already up to 52 minutes... I don't know...
I changed the downloads page to show my discography. Yes, there is one album missing, because I never actually created the album. There was a real intention to, but I never actually got around to putting together "The Midnight Girl". Someday I may go back and do that, but for now all those tracks are listed as singles.
There is also the hope that eventually I'll have enough Christmas tunes to make a Christmas album, though it's not a priority.
Well, I suppose that's it for now....
Thanks for downloading and listening!
